WikiReader now armed with 15 languages

Remember the Openmoko WikiReader? Well, this is somewhat like a pager in this day and age – if you already own a smartphone, there is no need for a static portable Wikipedia-carrying device (which is the WikiReader, of course), right? Assuming that there is already a market for the WikiReader, the device which holds over 3 million Wikipedia entries has just received its update to include 15 more languages. The $99 international version will come with 8GB of internal memory, while the 4GB model will come in English only, albeit being $30 more affordable. Community centres or libraries in rural areas might find this to be a useful addition, but otherwise, most people would have a device that can access Wikipedia directly, getting all the latest updates on the spot.
