Zynga Expands Social Gaming with Condui Labs Acquisition

Popular game studio Zynga is continuing to expand its social gaming business, which offers free games for users to play, though gamers can pay for achievements and virtual goods from within the games. The company recently acquire Conduit Labs for an undisclosed price.

Conduits Labs has previously made several free to play games. One of which is Loud Crowd, which is another take on the poplar Guitar Hero title. Another Conduit Labs title is Spin, where users can create their own version of a song like a DJ.

As part of the deal, Conduit Labs will now become Zynga Boston where Conduit former head Nabeel Hyatt will stay on to lead the Boston office. Zynga now has studios in San Francisco, Austin, Baltimore, Bangalore, Beijing, Los Angeles, Los Gatos, and Boston.
