Remember the Acer Liquid Metal smartphone that we looked at last week? Well, it is not vaporware just in case there are some naysayers out there, as an Acer UK spokesperson has just confirmed the existence of this handset. In fact, this metal backplated Android 2.2-powered smartphone will hit the UK market at the end of next month onwards, although no further specifications were released to whet your appetite. Rumors abound that it will come with a 3.6-inch WVGA touchscreen display and an 800MHz processor to keep it chugging along. Expect more leaks of images and perhaps even a video in due time?
