
Since announcing the newly revamped Apple TV based on the iOS platform at the Apple Music Event earlier in the month, Apple hasn’t shied away from saying that it will look into apps for the streaming set-top box. Steve Jobs had noted that the company may launch an Apple TV App Store when the time is right and the market’s mature enough for developers to capitalize on such an opportunity, and it seems that the company is serious about that based on a LinkedIn profile. First spotted by Mac blog MacRumors, an intern had described their summer position as an “Apple TV Apps Engineer” on the professional networking site. Could a series of widgets, a Web broser, more streaming services for radio and Internet content be coming to an Apple TV soon? Apple is slated to start shipping the newly Apple TV soon as those who have pre-ordered the devices have said that their credit cards have been charged over the last few days.
