Apple patent shows off LCD TV that caters for video and photos

One of Apple’s latest patents to be revealed concerns an LCD TV which will feature separate modes for both video and still photos. While sharing photos on an iDevice like the iPad is already simple enough as it is, Apple could very well hope to make the entire process a whole lot easier, especially while you’re lazing on your couch. This patent describes a display that has two distinct modes, where one of them is a “‘streaming’ display mode” for video and a “frame-buffered” display mode which is touted to deliver better quality still images. A more efficient photo display on Apple TV might be a feature which the fruity company will tout next to get more folks aboard their bandwagon, eh?
