Apple Sues HyperMac Accessory Maker Over MagSafe And iPod Cables

The HyperMac batteries from Sanho Corporation are popular external batteries for Apple devices, though Apple apparently doesn’t look upon it too fondly as the fruity company has sued the company over six patents related to MagSafe and the iPod. If you didn’t already know, the company claims to use original Apple MagSafe connectors to ensure compatibility, a connector which is obviously a proprietary connector. The suit also claims that Sanho Corporation also manufactures, distributes and/or sells products that infringe on patents related to Apple’s 30-pin connectors for the iPod/iPhone/iPad. Will both companies be able to sort things out amongst themselves, or is this the beginning of a long and bitter legal battle?
