iCub, who is an open source robot, might look extremely cute since it comes in a form factor that is no larger than that of a 3 year old baby, but it is extremely deadly when you pass it a bow and soem arrows. After all, iCub comes pre-loaded with ARCHER (Augmented Reward Chained Regression), a learning algorithm which allows it to hit bulls eyes. ARCHER will learn progressively, where each shot the iCub makes will automatically be compensated for the next in order to get closer to the bulls eye, and each iteration is guaranteed to improve. Not exactly the most accurate algorithm if you were to use it on the battlefield, but the guarantee of improvement is definitely something impressive.
