Asus Adopts Amimon's WHDI Chip For Wireless PC To TV Streaming

The folks over at Asus and HP must really be thinking alike, as after HP introduced its Wireless TV Connect, Asus has also announced its WiCast EW2000, which is the result of Asus’ work together with Amimon. The device functions similarly to HP’s offering, allowing users to hook up the two-piece device to a PC via USB and a TV via HDMI. Once everything is setup nicely, you’ll be able to stream 1080p high definition video directly to your TV with under 1ms of lag. You can expect to pick up the WiCast EW2000 this September for $199. Video of this setup in action is available after the jump.
