
AT&T’s operations CEO, John Stankey, has stated that the carrier is planning to launch its LTE network by mid-2011, after which the network will cover a good 70-75 million potential customers. It was also noted that AT&T has spent over $700 million in capital expenditures on LTE this year, a figure that the company plans to increase in 2011. With Verizon wireless already planning to kick off its LTE network pretty soon, the LTE battle is going to heat up real fast.
