Compumax of Colombia has announced their latest Android-powered tablet which will feature the Tegra 2 chipset that ought to add some much needed punch into the graphical department. Apart from that, this Compumax offering is beefy thanks to a dual core 1GHz Cortex A9 processor, 512MB RAM as well as a hard drive. It is purportedly on sale at $387 a pop when it debuts in Peru sometime in October. Sounds like a dream, but of course, anything that sounds too good to be true normally isn’t. We’ll take this with an entire bag of salt, thank you very much.

Android Android is mobile operating system from Google. The software was originally built by a company called Android Inc, that was purchased by Google in 2005. From its modest debuts, Android has become a powerhouse that powers not only smartphones and tablet, but a host of other less high-profile devices and gadgets. Although Android is not a community-driven project, Google does release the source code as open-source under the Apache license.
