Folks who might have special needs may not always be able to utilize most of the tools that we use on a day-to-day basis, and the Soft Touch concept might be something that could help solve that issue. The device is an alarm clock for the hearing impaired and comes integrated with sensors that are capable of notifying the user of upcoming danger. The Soft Touch uses an inflatable wristband with a micro pump that communicates wirelessly with a base unit, squeezing gently around the wrist of the user when it senses danger. It’s capable of connecting to other household gadgets like the telephone, doorbell, fire alarms and smoke alarms to ensure the safety of the user.
