Dell Looking Glass Android Tablet Caught On Video For Closer Inspection

Dell’s upcoming Looking Glass 7-inch tablet wasn’t pictured extensively when Michael Dell took it out, but a video of the event has since surfaced, giving us a slightly better look at this upcoming Android device. In terms of hardware, a volume rocker can be seen on the side of the device, along with a headphone jack, a PDMI connector port (similar to the Streak), and a switch (possibly for rotation lock or silent mode). Android: Android is the mobile operating system from Google. The software was originally built by a company called Android Inc, that was purchased by Google in 2005. From its modest debuts, Android has become a powerhouse that powers not only smartphones and tablet, but a host of other less high-profile devices and gadgets. Dell: Dell Inc. is one of largest technology corporations in the world. Michael Dell started the company in 1984, and it sold computers built from stock components. Previously named PCs Limited, the company created the "Turbo PC," the company's first computer. In 1988, the company changed its name to Dell Computer Corporation. Dell sells personal computers, servers, data storage devices, network switches, software, and computer peripherals. Dell acquired computer hardware company Alienware in 2006, and Perot Systems, an information technology services provider, in 2009. Dell is also considered as the third largest PC vendors in the world, next to HP and Lenovo (as of 12/30/2013).
