Epson Introduces World's First 3LCD Reflective Technology Projectors

Epson has announced the world’s first projectors to use 3LCD reflective technology, a technology that claims to deliver enhanced video quality with higher contrast ratios, richer colors, smoother gradation and enhanced black levels.

The flagship PowerLite Pro Cinema 6100 is capable of producing a juicy contrast ratio of 1,000,000:1 and features such as ISF calibration, color isolation, new color modes and new networking features for installers to access an easy remote management system to minimize down time. Specific pricing wasn’t mentioned, but it’s expected to be in the sub-$7,000 category and is designed for AV elitists looking for top-of-the-line performance.

The Pro Cinema 31000 and Home Cinema 21000 are Epson’s mid-level offerings in the sub-$4,500 and sub-$3,300 categories. The former will offer a 500,000:1 contrast ratio and professional-level ISF Certification color tools.

All these projectors will be capable of churning out 1080p HD video images and will be available online and through dealers in December.
