It seems that rumors of Facebook integration swirling around last week proved to be true, as General Motors (GM) has just revealed that audio Facebook updates, voice texting capability and applications which control your car from your phone are now available, turning your four-wheeled home into the most expensive gadget you’ve ever purchased. Hmmm, is being up to speed with your Facebook account all that important to many people? Perhaps bosses should ban their drivers from having a Facebook account lest their concentration is diverted while on the road. As for voice texting capability, imagine an incoming SMS that will have the text read back to you whenever your phone is connected to OnStar via Bluetooth. Sounds cool, but will you make a vehicle purchase decision based on whether it has audio Facebook support or not?
