HP V5020u digital camcorder delivers full HD recording capability

HP decides to jump on board the full HD resolution bandwagon by delivering the V5020u digital camcorder. Basically, what you get would be full 1080p HD recording alongside electronic image stabilization, thanks to an integrated gyroscopic sensor which prevents image blur – an all too common occurence for most folks as they tend to have shaky hands while recording. Hardware specifications include a 10x digital zoom, a 2-inch LCD display, a 5-megapixel sensor, an SDHC memory card slot, H.264 video recording capability, a motion detection feature and the ability to connect it to a TV through HDMI. The HP V5020u digital camcorder is going for $159 as it hits the market this October. Cisco’s Flip HD looks set to have a pretty strong rival on its hands now.
