The HTC Shift was definitely fashion forward device that hit the market a few years ago before tablets became a sought after device, but someone certainly has this 7-inch device close to his/her heart by tweaking it to run OS X – or at least, install Mac’s operating system on what used to be a Windows Vista-powered tablet. While the hardware might be rather aged, it still is half-decent on paper with an 800 x 480 resolution touchscreen display and an 800MHz Intel A110 processor. When OS X is installed, the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity as well as fingerprint scanner will not register (due to niggling driver compatibility issues, we presume), although everything else works fine and dandy. Doing so shows it is possible, but it will violate Apple’s EULA in the process, so be forewarned!
