Kno Tablet Gets Additional Funding to Make Digital Textbook Reader

Startup Kno is getting an additional $46 million in funding for its dual-panel tablet, made suitable for digital textbooks and the education market. The clamshell tablet that folds together like a book, similar to the Toshiba Libretto netbook, debuted at the Wall Street Journal’s D8 conference. There will also be an online textbook store on-board the Kno tablet, and Kno shares a co-founder with online textbook rental service Chegg.
