What makes the Lemoptix projector different from all the other projectors on the market? Well, for starters, its size would definitely raise an eyebrow or two considering its ability to slip into a pocket without any trouble at all. Considering the fact that it measures roughly the size of your pinkie finger, you might even fail to notice that you’ve misplaced it – which could lead to some disastrous explanation you’ll have to make to your boss the next day at the office. The Lemoptix projector was meant to be embedded within a smartphone or laptop, where the imager itsel is a micro mirror device (MMD), albeit relying on separate red, blue, and green lasers as a light source – hence doing away with the need for the relatively bulky power guzzling color wheel that sees action in LED-based projectors. Don’t expect the resolution to be sky high though as we’re looking at standard definition 640 x 480 pixels. While we know it can project a 15-inch image from around 20-inches away, there is no word on its brightness level.
