Libratone Beat wireless speaker goes in all directions

Danish audio manufacturer Libratone has come up with the Beat wireless speaker that debuted at IFA 2010 Berlin. This high-end wireless speaker allows you to enjoy an audio sweet spot regardless of which part of the room you are in at the moment. A portable media player that is connected to a wireless transmitter will send an audio signal to the Beat, where its FullRoom technology will go about reflecting sound off the room’s walls to provide 360 degrees of sonic enjoyment. Interestingly enough, this device was in development since 2007 and will be the first from the company to hit the market. Features include a 30-pin transmitter that attaches to an iPod, iPhone or iPad, with the capability to wirelessly stream audio to a Beat speaker up to 32.8 feet (10m) away. It has a maximum working range of 98.4 feet (30m) if the user decides to connect the wireless USB transmitter to a PC or Mac. Expect it to hit the worldwide market for $655 next January.
