Mobileye Products announces Pedestrian Alert collision prevention system

Mobileye Products has just announced their latest collision prevention system known as Pedestrian Alert, where it will alert drivers of a possible pedestrian collision at least 2.7 seconds before an accident happens, helping drivers do their bit to take evasive actions. The device is known as the C2-270 and will come equipped with a camera that can capture and analyze images 15 times each second courtesy of newly designed algorithms. The camera itself will be installed within the vehicle’s windshield, while the alert system is located on the dashboard itself. The C2-270 system with Pedestrian Alert feature will hit the market this month on September 23rd for $900.
