Motorola Defy announced

Motorola’s latest smartphone has just been anonunced, although it won’t be available until later this year (and in time for the holidays, to boot!) via T-Mobile. Nothing much to shout about with the Defy, where it will feature a 3.7-inch WVGA scratch-resistant touchscreen display, Android 2.1 (no word or confirmation of a Froyo update in due time), dust and water resistant, a 5-megapixel camera with flash and auto focus, DLNA support as well as Motorola’s Blur interface which will skin on top of the Android user interface. We look forward to a pocket friendly price, and by then Android 2.1 would be pretty outdated, so shipping with Android 2.2 might be more advisable. You hear us, Motorola?
