Nintendo 3DS details finalized

OK, so we know the launch dates of the Nintendo 3DS across various continents, but how about its specifications? Here’s the finalized list for those who are interested – we’re looking at the Nintendo 3DS coming with a charger stand, an AC adapter, a 10cm Nintendo 3DS touch pen, a 2GB SD memory card, half a dozen augmented reality cards and instruction booklets. Its new functions have been confirmed to be a slide pad, a motion sensor and a gyro-sensor. Similar to the Nintendo DSi and the DSi XL, the 3DS will feature parental controls just in case you don’t want little Jimmy to stumble upon something you’d loathe for him to see. The top display has a resolution of 800 x 240 pixels, while the bottom display is even lower res at 320 x 240 pixels. Two cameras also adorn the 3DS, but it will be different from that of most smartphones since both will carry the same resolution of 0.3-megapixels. A lithium ion battery will run proceedings until it is exhausted, and you should know this by now – you need no pair of 3D glasses to enjoy the latest 3D titles on a handheld! Hopefully the stronger yen and weak dollar will not affect North American pricing drastically.
