Nufront aims to sell $250 ARM-based desktop PCs

Chinese computer manufacturer Nufront is showing a PC based on a dual-core processor using the ARM Cortex 9 design. With a 2Ghz frequency, Nufront might be able to claim that it has the fastest Cortex A9 machine in the world. This machine is also capable of playing back HD video and should (we repeat *should*) be enough for very basic computing, like limited web-browsing (don’t expect full Flash support) and productivity apps (email, text…). Because it’s based on an ARM architecture, running Windows is not an option. Linux desktop or Android have been demonstrated, although it’s not clear which flavor will make it into the final product.
