Onkyo Unveils 3 New Windows 7 Tablets

Onkyo has updated its Windows tablet offerings in Japan with three new tablets based on the Windows 7 operating system from Microsoft. The TW117A4 and TW217A5 have a 10.1-inch display while the TW317A5 has an 11.6-inch screen. The TW117A4 and TW317A5 will use the Intel Atom N450 CPU with GMA 3150 graphics while the TW217A5 will pack in an Atom X530 and GMA 500 graphics chip. All models will have 1 GHz RAM, WiFi b/g/n, and Bluetooth support. The tablets will weigh around 1 kg, depending on models. The TW117A4 will have a 160 GB hard drive, 6.4 hours of battery life, an HDMI port, and two USB ports. The TW217A5 will employ a 32 GB SSD with 3.8 hours of battery life, one USB port, and an HDMI port. The TW317A5 is rated for 5 hours of battery life and will also get the SSD option while retaining the two USB ports and an HDMI port. Pricing and availability outside of Japan is not yet available.
