NVIDIA has settled a class-action lawsuit and agreed to fix notebooks from HP, Dell, and Apple that uses the NVIDIA GeForce 8600M graphics chips. Affected systems would have graphics problems such as intermittent video, blank screens, distorted videos, or other related problems. The company has agreed to fix affected systems at no cost to the user or to reimburse users for out of pocket repair expenses related to the graphics issues. If you think you may be affected by the settlement, you can go to the litigation website to see if your computer model qualifies for repairs and for potential symptoms related to graphics or video issues.
