Are robots about to take over the world subtly that we won’t know what hits us when the moment comes? Perhaps, just perhaps. While many women love going to the hair salon simply because they not only get to spend their husbands’ hard earned dough, it also allows them to have some time off from the house while catching up with their hairstylist on the latest happenings in town. Things won’t be the same ever again if Panasonic’s hair-washing robot comes into play, as it will rely on 16 fingers to wash and rinse one’s hair with the surprising dexterity of human fingers. The robot will feature a couple of arms that can scan the head three dimensionally, remembering the shape in order to apply the correct pressure to each person when undergoing the shampooing and massaging processes. Interesting, but we don’t think robots washing one’s hair will enter the professional world in the immediate future.
