Panasonic Lumix GH2 Unveiled

We already knew that the Panasonic Lumix GH2 would be getting some show time at Photokina, and now the camera has been announced, giving us access to all the juicy details. As previously speculated, the GH2 gets a touchscreen display which can be seen as an improvementto the GH1’s flip-and-twist display. Other improvements include a HDMI connector, improved wobble suppression during full-time autofocus. The GH2 will be available in time for the holidays and will set you back $900 for the body, $1000 when bundled with a 14-42mm F3.5-5.6 lens, or $1500 for the body and 14-140mm F4.0-5.8 lens. Specifications of the camera include:

  • 16.1-megapixel image sensor
  • ISO 160-12,800
  • 23-point autofocus
  • Optical image stabilization
  • 3-inch 460,000 pixel display
  • Full HD video capture at 1920 x 1080
