PanelDirector electronic ad display panel shows what you want to see

They say that we see what we want to see, and NEC certainly concurs with that idea thanks to their latest PanelDirector electronic ad display panel. It is smart enough to look at you, analyze who you are (must be some pretty smart algorithm going on in the back end), and displaying what you love to see, appealing to your senses (and ultimately, your wallet). A small camera will accompany each PanelDirector, where it will shoot your image and compare it to 10,000 patterns stored within its database, making assumptions on information such as gender and the age before serving up what it thinks is suitable ad content. Not too sure just how effective this form of targeted ads would be, but it is refreshing to see the industry take a different approach.
