Pentax Announces Its New K-r DSLR Camera

Pentax seems to love colors and customization, and next up is the announcement of its K-r DSLR camera. The camera sports a 12.4-megapixel CMOS sensor. When released in October, the K-r body will be going for $799.95, though you’ll also have to option of paying up to $999.95 for various kit lenses, depending on your budget. Specifications of the Pentax K-r include:

  • 12.4-megapixel CMOS sensor
  • 3-inch LCD display
  • Live View
  • Shake Reduction
  • Dust removal
  • Lithium-ion battery
  • Supports four AA batteries for power with optional accessory
  • 720p video recording
  • 11-point AF system
  • ISO up to 25,600
  • 18-55mm, 50-200mm, and 55-300mm kit lenses
