Prototype HP Slate Appears On Video Again With More Details

Remember the recently leaked video of the HP Slate? Well, another video of the device has surfaced, though it has since been removed. Still, we managed to snag the technical details before it was removed. The video indicates that the HP Slate will include a companion dock when it is expected to ship this fall. Connectors on the dock include a HDMI output, two USB ports, power input, and 3.5mm audio jack. The demonstration shows four-finger multi-touch input in action, along with pinch-to-zoom. An enterprise-version of the HP Slate was mentioned a while back, but the video includes a shot of the packaging for a consumer version, so perhaps webOS won’t be the only OS option for consumers from HP when it comes to tablets. Specifications of this device include:

  • 1.86GHz Intel Atom Z540 processor
  • 2GB DDR2 RAM
  • 64GB SSD
  • Integrated GMA 500 graphics chip
  • Broadcom Crystal HD accelerator
  • 3-megapixel rear-facing camera
  • Front-facing camera
