Samsung Galaxy S to receive Android 2.2 Froyo update in the UK

For those who live across the Atlantic and own the Samsung Galaxy S as their smartphone of choice, then you will be pleased to know that the Android 2.2 Froyo update is coming pretty soon – in fact, from the end of September onwards unless there is some sort of unforeseen delay. There have been numerous sources out there which have confirmed such a time frame, and Samsung’s repairs department has been slated to be “definitely receiving new software for repairing Froyo builds on the 22nd of September, with the build expected to be released on the 23rd.” Meanwhile, we’re still waiting for US carriers to let out a peep on when Froyo will roll out in this part of the world.
