Public transportation is a pretty sticky issue for most countrys – either they are overcrowded, expensive or not on schedule, or all three. Well, this design by Finnish Lukas Medeisis will cater specially for Helsinki in the year 2020, where it aims to re-establish a link between nature and capital city’s residents. This is done be shifting public transportation from city center to the coastline, which would deliver commuters resplendent views of the long forgotten coastline during their daily commute. This hovercraft-type vehicle is known as AirFLOW, where it will be solar powered. Hmm, a solar-powered people mover – surely the efficiency of solar panels by 2020 would be enough to warrant such an endeavor?
