Remember the texting ban report that we covered yesterday, touting that more accidents occur in certain states after the ban was introduced? Well, just as there are two sides to a coin, certain quarters are incensed at such a report from the Highway Loss Data Institute (HLDI), which claimed that texting bans have not done its part in reducing crashes. U.S. Secretary of Transportation Ray LaHood has responded harshly to the report, citing it to be both misleading and flawed as the HLDI have “created a cause and effect that simply doesn’t exist.” Whose side are you on?
