Sonos players will offer Spotify music streaming support

It has just been made known that Sonos players will be able to support Spotify music streaming thanks to a software update that allows users to distribute the streaming content throughout the whole home. As for the Spotify interface, it can be controlled straight from the dedicated Sonos controller or via an iPhone app if you want to. The Sonos software v3.3 is tipped to roll out as an automatic update before September is over, and will target customers in the UK, Finland, France, the Netherlands, Norway, Spain and Sweden as the primary market. Of course, if you want to access streaming content from a Sonos player, you will need to sign up with Spotify’s £9.99 monthly premium subscription.
