Sony Bloggie takes the touch route

Remember the rather redundant Sony Bloggie that hit the ground running at CES earlier this year? Well, the camera and video recording device will now keep up with the times thanks to the inclusion of a touchscreen display, while being a whole lot better looking on the exterior with better internal features and specifications to get you started right out of the box. Known as the Bloggie Touch (what else), it will be available this November in an aluminum finish (that seems to be the choice gadget material these days) while dropping a whole lot of buttons from its predecessor. With 8GB of internal memory (and the mistake of lacking a memory card slot of any kind), you will be limited in terms of your recording capability (maxiing out at 4 hours of HD video), but then again if you take the device’s whole purpose into context, we suppose that isn’t a big issue. Apart from its 12.8-megapixel camera, the Bloggie Touch also comes with full 1920x1080p (30p) and 1280x720p (60p, 30p) HD MP4 video recording capability. It will juice itself up via USB, and should reside somewhere between the $200 to $300 price point when released this November.
