Sony Ericsson has no good news for Android phone users

Sony Ericsson might have just shot themselves in the foot here with a leaked roadmap update that points toward a couple of Android 2.1-based updates that will be heading towards the direction of the Xperia X10, Xperia X10 Mini, Xperia X10 Mini Pro and Xperia X8. Guess that’s that then, with no Froyo (Android 2.2) in sight at the moment. Of course, do take this with a tub of salt nearby since the “leak” might prove to be a fake, or this could be part of a much larger document that does mention Android 2.2 somewhere else. Unfortunately, we fear for the worse since Sony Ericsson’s track record in releasing software updates to their phones (especially Android-powered ones) have been pretty abysmal in the past.
