Are the folks over at Sony Ericsson lagging or something? We would think so, especially with them releasing information on delivering Android 2.1 for the Xperia X10 series – by the end of September at that. That’s definitely not good enough considering how the world has already moved on to Android 2.2 in larger numbers, so why not make the jump to that version in the first place? Well, bear in mind that this applies only to those living in the UK thanks to a tweet by Sony Ericsson UK, as AT&T being the Xperia X10 carrier Stateside has yet to announce the issue of any release at all. Come on Sony Ericsson, let’s get going already. Hopefully AT&T will also do something about the situation as it is rather sad to have a pretty powerful phone like the Xperia X10 being limited in certain ways due to old firmware.
