Sony Ericsson Yizo Walkman phone hits the FCC

The FCC have been pretty busy, handling the new iPod touch, Apple TV 2 and LG smartphones over the past day – they also had their fair share of fun with the Sony Ericsson Yizo just in case this one slipped through your radar. As part of Sony Ericsson’s Walkman line, you can be sure that this music-centric handset will appeal to those who rely on their favorite musical tracks to tide them through particularly gruelling commutes. Measuring 3.7” x 2.0” x 0.6” and tipping the scales at 2.9 ounces, the Yizo is one of the smallest handsets to come from Sony Ericsson to date. Other hardware specifications include a 320 x 240 QVGA resolution display, quad band GSM/EDGE support, Bluetooth connectivity, and up to 4 hours of talk time. You can also remain connected to your mates and family via Facebook and Twitter apps, while Sony Ericsson’s Media Go media management software makes it a snap to ensure all your favorite tunes and media are well organized. There is no word on pricing or availability, but seeing that it has hit the FCC, “soon” should be the keyword here.
