Sony Expands Lawsuit To Target Other PS3 Jailbreak Hacks

Sony has expanded its legal action against the PS3 jailbreak by including the PSGroove, PSFreedom, and OpenPSJailbreak, instead of just targeting the owners of PS Jailbreak. The US District Judge has granted motions allowing Sony to serve subpoenas and deposition notices to third parties who are involved in the distribution or sale of the PS Jailbreak software. Sony’s 3.42 firmware reportedly disables the PS Jailbreak hack, though it remains to be seen if the jailbreak will bite back. Will there be a swift end to the PS jailbreaking issue, or will it be an endless cat and mouse game like what is going on with Apple’s iOS devices?
