Toshiba has gone further to expand both its Satelllite and Portégé line of notebooks with four more models, where all of them share one specification which ought to set them apart from the rest of the muddle out there. We’re talking about an integrated WiMAX modem, crammed into the 16-inch Satellite A665 and 14-inch Satellite M645, 13.3-inch Portégé R705 and 14-inch Satellite E205. Any one of them will be able to hook up to Sprint’s 4G WiMAX network, which is already live in 54 cities across the US. What do you get with the 4G WiMAX network? How about 3Mbps to 6Mbps downstream data rates? The A665 with WiMAX will start from $805 upwards, while the M645 will retail for $760. As for the Portégé R705, that will retail for $900 with the Satellite E205 going for $1,080. Mark September 26 on your calendar as that’s when all of them will ship.
