Toshiba to develop mega solar power generation system

Toshiba has plans to keep the earth green with their new mega solar power generation system which will work under the banner of Tohoku Electric Power. Toshiba’s systems will be installed in the Hachinohe Solar Power Station in Hachinohe, Aomori prefecture, Japan, and is tipped to come online sometime next year. This plant should be able to deliver an annual capacity of approximately 1.6 million kilowatt hours, which is enough electricity generated for around 500 households. Expect this plant to come with highly efficient multi-crystal photovoltaic modules from Kyocera, thin-film photovoltaic modules (250kW) from Kaneka and CIS (Copper Indium Diselenide; CuInSe2) thin-film solar cell modules (250kW) from Solar Frontier K.K. To the average Joe on the street, this basically means good news for our own future and childrens’ future if everything goes as planned.
