Toshiba fans who have been drooling over the company’s AC100 Android-powered netbook will probably want to know that it’s currently up for order. You’ll need to shell out £293 ($451) for the Wi-Fi-only version. A 3G version, dubbed the 10U, is currently still in development, so we’ll have to be patient with that one. In the meantime, the Wi-Fi version offers:
- 10-inch display
- Android 2.1
- NVIDIA dual-core Tegra 250 chip
- 512MB of RAM
- Up to 8-hours of battery life
- 1.3-megapixel camera
- Bluetooth 2.1
- HDMI output

Android Android is mobile operating system from Google. The software was originally built by a company called Android Inc, that was purchased by Google in 2005. From its modest debuts, Android has become a powerhouse that powers not only smartphones and tablet, but a host of other less high-profile devices and gadgets. Although Android is not a community-driven project, Google does release the source code as open-source under the Apache license.
