Windows Phone 7 To Launch On Oct 11th?

We’ve been seeing a number of Windows Phone 7-powered devices pop up from time to time, but Microsoft hasn’t given anybody an official launch date for its mobile operating system just yet. That being said, reports have just come in that Windows Phone 7 will be officially launched on October 11th, and the software giant will be using New York as a global stage for the launch, which will be beamed around the world. Considering that Apple’s iOS and Google’s Android OS are getting plenty of exposure in the mobile scene at the moment, Microsoft’s updated operating system probably won’t be arriving a moment too soon.
