Adobe’s Flash Player 10.1 has just been announced to make its way to the following smartphone platforms – BlackBerry, Windows Phone, Symbian, webOS and MeeGo. This move would bode well for all the other major smartphone operating systems since it enhances their handsets, allowing a wider range of mobile devices to take advantage of Flash-enabled websites while folks are on-the-go. There was no word on a release date, but at least the other platforms have finally caught up with Google’s Android OS when it comes to Flash viability on a smartphone.
