Amazon allows Kindle owners to lend their books to other fellow owners

Amazon has allowed Kindle owners to lend their books to other owners of the Kindle as well, either that or to folks who already have the free application installed on the computer, BlackBerry and iPad among others. Of course, this might sound like good news at first, but it has its catch as well – the book can be borrowed only once, and the loan maxes out at 14 days. Not only that, the original owner is unable to access it when it is being loaned out – makes sense physically for obvious reasons, but in the virtual world? It isn’t shaping up as optimally as one would expect. The whole idea of restricting the loan, however, is to protect copyrights. Will this affect your Kindle purchase decision?
