AMD is preparing to sell its new Radeon HD 6870 and HD 6850 graphics cards to the masses, which would mean the dropping of the ATI brand just in case you didn’t notice. These new cards will feature technology developed from the previous generation, albeit being positioned differently in the market instead of taking the traditional “direct upgrade” route. From the images of these cards which we’ve seen so far, they will feature a new video output configuration that comprises of two mini-displayports, HDMI and a couple of DVI ports, making you wonder whether you should drop some money for the new NEC MultiSync EX231W LED-backlit monitor, eh?
