Apple issues firmware fix, solves charging issue

Those who are in possession of older MacBook and MacBook Pro models will definitely welcome this new firmware from Apple that solves a charging issue which happens whenever the latest MagSafe power adapters are plugged in. We’re talking about the MacBook SMC Firmware Update 1.4 for select 2007 to 2008 MacBook and MacBook Pro models, where the update weighs in at a featherlight 880KB with Mac OS X 10.5.8 or 10.6.4 as a prerequisite. According to users, newer MagSafe adapters failed to charge older MacBook and Macbook Pro computers, which is where this firmware will come to the rescue. For those who have already downloaded and installed the firmware, everything should be running peachy keen on your machine now, eh?
