Archos 43 now available for pre-order, shipping to commence soon

Archos did at one point in time stress that they will ship their 43 portable media player sometime in the middle of October, and we’re already heading into the final third of the month which means they failed to make good on their word to the letter. Well, hopefully the pre-order link on Amazon will finally change in the next few days. Are you looking forward to this Android-powered portable media player which will be accompanied by a 4.3-inch touchscreen display, an HDMI output, built-in Wi-Fi connectivity and support for a gamut of file formats? The 16GB model is going for $249.99, so you might want to start counting your cash now if you want it. It won’t supplant the iPod touch as the PMP of choice worldwide, but at least it does sound decent on paper.
