Asus Tegra 2 Tablet With Windows Embedded 7 Due March 2011

Word is going around that the speculated Asus EP90 tablet is expected to launch in March 2011. The Taiwanese manufacturer is said to have ordered up to 300,000 Tegra 2 dual-core ARM-based chips to power the tablet which will be running Windows Embedded Compact 7, a version optimized for use on tablet devices. The tablet is expected to be aimed at the enterprise market and rumored specifications of the EP90 include:

  • 8.9-inch 1024 x 600 pixel display
  • HDMI port
  • USB port(s)
  • Bluetooth 2.1
  • GPS
  • Webcam
  • 8GB, 16GB and 32GB storage capacities
  • Up to 4 or 5 hours of battery life
