Asustek has just announced more plans to introduce a bunch of tablet devices from December this year onwards, where they will come in 7-inch, 10-inch and 12-inch models. The 12-inch model will come with the Wintel platform this year, where it ought to hit sales channels from next year onwards. Apart from that, there will be a couple of 7-inch models as well as an equal number of 9-inch models from March 2011 onwards. One of the 7-inch models will boast Wi-Fi support, while the other goes one-up with 3.5G connectivity alongside phone functions. The 9-inch models will see the adoption of the ARM-based Nvidia Tegra 2 platform with Google’s Android operating system, with the other opting for the tried-and-tested Wintel platform. Expect both 9-inch models to retail for around $100 – juicy, eh?
